Sustainable Business Taking steps to minimise our footprint

If you’re serious about sustainability, you need an information management partner who is too. We’re minimising our impact on local communities and the environment through initiatives including electric vehicle rollout across the organisation, designing new facilities for efficient energy use, responsible sourcing and recycling all waste paper.

Putting waste to work

All shredding takes place either at our in-house facility or via our approved third party, is verified or aligned to BS 15713 and is verified to the British Standard for the Secure Destruction of Confidential Material (BS EN15713). Paper is shredded, then pulped and recycled in paper mills. The recycled material is turned into tissue products like toilet roll and kitchen roll. For every tonne of paper shredded and recycled, around 13 trees are saved.

Energy-efficient deliveries

Our fully-owned fleet is compliant to Euro 5 vehicle emissions standards or above. Route planning and delivery scheduling is coordinated to minimise fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. Our service and maintenance programme keeps vehicles safe and well-maintained.   

Over the past four years we have removed 167 less environmentally-friendly operational vehicles in the UK, due to dynamic route planning and the introduction of Euro 6 and electric vehicles.
