News Release
OASIS Group has placed sustainability at the forefront of its business strategy with the opening of a new flagship facility at London Gateway. This state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly warehouse reflects the company’s commitment to aligning green initiatives with operational excellence. The strategic choice of location underlines OASIS Group’s focus on achieving both its commercial goals and ambitions, to integrate sustainable practices with efficient, high-performance operations.
OASIS, the largest privately owned records and information management provider in Europe, this month took possession of a sustainable 108,973 sq ft warehouse. Balancing proximity to London with access to key routes across the South East, the new location allows OASIS to provide a more environmentally sustainable approach to records storage. Boasting a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ classification the OASIS Group facility delivered a 30 per cent carbon reduction during construction and up to 40 per cent reduction in operational carbon emissions for clients.
Kerry Blinston, managing director UK & Ireland at OASIS Group, stated “London Gateway has strategic road access to London and the M25, giving OASIS the ability to service our clients across the South East region using our electric fleet of vehicles. We are delighted to support our own, and our clients’ shared sustainability efforts with these high-quality facilities.”
The new facilities are designed to maximise operational efficiency; with the 21m clear internal height allowing Oasis to deploy optimised racking systems, whilst elements like the rainwater harvesting system and bespoke electric vehicle charging all support our ESG strategy.
Conan Wade, Group Property and Facilities Director at OASIS Group, added: “We are delighted to take this new facility at DP World’s London Gateway Logistics Park. This is an excellent opportunity to expand our information management business, whilst supporting our ambitious environmental goals.”
